My name is Elena and I am a European Marketing Manager at King George International College in downtown Vancouver. We are looking to get a paid volunteer to teach a single basic orienteering class to a group of European students who are a part of our summer adventure and leadership “Trailblazers” program for teens and young adults (http://kgic.ca/vacation-programs/trailblazers). The goal is to give the students some basic orienteering skills that they could use during their upcoming backpack to Garibaldi Lake & Black Tusk. Ideally, we would like to have someone to come in for 1-2 hours on Mon, July 14 or Tuesday, July 15 (we are flexible with the time). We don’t have any strict guidelines regarding the content, which makes it an opportunity to develop your own class outline or to use the outline and the content you are most familiar with.
It’s a great volunteering experience, as well as fantastic experience working with international students from France, Belgium, and Italy. We are offering a compensation of $50 (negotiable).
If you or any of the members of your group are interested in this opportunity, please contact me at elenal@kgic.ca or at 778-938-4482.
Thank you,
