The new BCMC website was built on a very powerful, and what initially appears as very complicated, content management system designed specifically for social networking websites.  The new site has a lot of potential for adding useful features to help both organizers and the general membership with their involvement in club events, trips and courses.  If anyone is interested in helping with some of the site development, particularly tasks involving PHP programming, then please contact me at webmaster@bcmc.ca to arrange a short phone call to discuss ideas.

Thank you,

Paul... volunteer webmaster

When the new website was developed I used a "standard" template.  From time-to-time I made simple modifications to improve the basic "look and feel" of the website, however my plan was always to do a significant facelift to something that better reflects the theme of mountaineering.  If there are any computer-based graphic artists in the BCMC that would like to contribute a few hours a month to help improve the site's overall "look and feel" then please contact me at webmaster@bcmc.ca to arrange a short phone call to discuss ideas.

Thank you,

Paul... volunteer webmaster

I've been a PHP developer for a good 7 years now, so I may be of some assistance. I tend to be fairly busy, but depending on the sort of tasks that need getting done I could probably be of some help. I'll send you an email tomorrow.
