Volunteer Trip and Course Organizers

I have the greatest respect for those few club members that have volunteered their valuable time to help less experienced members learn essential skiing, climbing and mountaineering skills.

I also truly appreciate the small group of club members that repeatedly volunteer their valuable time to organize, or co-organize, a variety of successful (safe & fun) club trips.

And I'm very thankful for those dedicated club members that have invested so much of their time and resources to create and maintain club-sponsored trails.  It was amazing to see them in action recently and be reminded just how important it is that we all chip in.  Please find time in your busy schedule to volunteer for a trail clearing trip this summer.

Volunteers are the "backbone" of this club and, with the recent decline in posted trips and courses, I'd like your feedback on what has happened to reduce it and what can be done to improve it.  I'm particularly interested in learning why those that used to volunteer their time no longer do so.

For any member that is interested in organizing a club trip but is unsure how to post it on the club website, please contact me ASAP so we can set up a time to chat online or over the phone.

Cheers,

Paul... BCMC volunteer webmaster

P.s. I'm looking for objective feedback... contact me privately if you prefer to criticize others.
