March 21-22, 2015 - Tyler is not a typical weather dependant person and he doesn't mind camping out in pouring rain. Tyler joined me to brave out the weather this weekend. Though the weather forecast didn't look promising for either Saturday and Sunday, we took the chance and headed out to Duffy Road to get some turns.
Channel Creek has been on my list for awhile to explore. I parked my car at the bottom of Channel Creek FSR and started hiking the road with our skis on our back. We turned left on the third spur road and followed the road until we hit Channel Creek. We crossed the creek on the North side and started ascending to the forest, following a faint trail. We followed a flagged trail but lost the trail 400m before reaching the lower lake. Tyler pointed out my mistake soon after I started heading in the wrong direction. Saturday's weather was a little unpredictable, it started out from overcast to light snow, then to full blown snow storm within few minutes.
