They have done a very good job for me, more than once. Not cheap. The material used is very good, nice and sticky.

I can echo what both Cormac and Peter have already said.

I hear Peter said: "It's not cheap ..."

Hm, I am interested to see is it worth it? Sometimes MEC have a very good sale. Or REI in Bellingham.

Good question.

The price is about half the cost of a higher end climbing shoe. If you are looking to get a entry level shoe repaired, the cost of the repair might not be attractive.

FYI, MEC also has the kits available:

We carry two varieties of rock climbing rubber: Vibram XSV 'extra sticky' and Five Ten Stealth C4. The Vibram XSV is softer and more grippy than the Five Ten, but tends to wear out more quickly.

With rock shoes, replacement of the toe rand and half sole are included in the repair price of $69 per pair.

If there are holes worn right through at the toe, there may be extra charges for stitching and/or patching. Extra charges start at $15 per shoe. All prices are subject to the HST.
Usually we need 3 to 4 business days to complete the repairs.
