Mount Sedgwick

How are folks accessing Mount Sedgwick in winter these days? Does anyone know of a boat operator in Squamish that will take groups across in winter? Or is boat access to the dock at Woodfibre even allowed anymore?

Any and all info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello Ian,

As far as I know, Woodfibre LNG is still not allowing access to the Backcountry.  A couple posts can be found here:  https://woodfibrelng.ca/contact-us/ask-woodfibre/

There is also this trip report from 2020:  https://stevensong.com/coastal-interior-bc/sea-to-sky/mount-sedgwick/

I have Emailed Woodfibre LNG on this issue once before to advocate for improved access, but these efforts will likely have to wait until near completion of the project.

Immediately south of the Woodfibre, where the old camp for the workers used to be and where they used to park the train cars, is a river. From what I recall a boat could land there. You're not landing on Woodfibre's property. There's no harm and no fowl.
