I'm looking at doing the HSCT June 24-26 and I'm wondering if anybody has been back there in the last couple weeks? I've heard that the snow line is around 1400m right now and I'm not sure if the rope crossings are above that or if the snow above 1400m would make this an unsafe time to attempt the full trip from Cypress to Porteau Cove.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you kindly
Ryan
Went up Brunswick today (1,788m), only wearing approach shoes. Very little snow left up there. Some winter drifts on the north side, and a thin layer of snow that fell in the last couple of days (above 1,400m, but fairly patchy and really not much of an issue). Deeks lake is still partly frozen.
Doesn't look to me like there would be much of an issue to do the HSCT in 10 days from now. The trail should be mostly clear.
Francis, thank you very much for your reply. Much appreciated!
