The current executive team is looking for a Programs & Camps Chair volunteer to step in as soon as possible. As the Programs & Camps Chair you will be responsible for organizing club courses, such as the mountaineering program, rock climbing program and the winter program. The winter programs organizing has now concluded, and we're looking towards engaging the clubs' volunteer instructors to organize spring and summer mountaineering and rock climbing programs. The Programs Chair also facilitates organizing BCMC listed CWMS course offerings, like Rock Rescue and Wilderness First Aid.

As a member of the executive team, you are expected to attend the executive team members held on the first Tuesday evening of each month (except July and August).

As the club expands and grows, we're also looking to intentionally share the volunteer load by ensuring each aspect of the club has multiple volunteers, so if you are interested in helping the BCMC with programs and course offerings, but don't have the ability to commit to the Chair position, we also welcome Program Assistant volunteers who help share some of the Chair responsibilities.

I would be interested in this as well as the Socials Chair position that was just filled. I would like to know what is being done now to facilitate this so that I may have a better idea of what is to be done on a micro scale. I would be interested in a Program Assistant volunteer position if I thought the work load for the the Chair position was too much for me to handle.
