Devil and Intlpam, Texas Creek

Alex and I headed out to explore Texas Creek, South of Lillooet. It's a little bit of long drive through Duffy road. We left Friday night and car camped at Texas Creek FSR. The road is in good 2wd and it's currently being logged at the East fork of Texas Creek.  Our plan was to traverse from Devil Peak to Intlpam Peak via Skimath Creek but somehow we missed the junction and ended up taking the East fork of Texas Creek. We managed to drive up to 21km mark. Some heavy equipment parked along this road so be careful where to park your car, and make sure not to block the road.

We bushwhacked up the North side of Devil Peak. Traveling through the forest  was pretty easy except the slippery frozen ground. We put our skis almost at 2000m, then came up the North ridge and boot packed to the summit.  We continued towards Intlpam Peak by taking the East ridge of Devil Peak. A lot of ups and downs to this section and wasted a lot of time trying to navigate through micro terrains. We bypassed this big bump in the middle of the traverse by contouring around to the West face then reclimbed to the South ridge of IntlPam Peak.   From the col, we left our skis and walk 2km to the summit that felt like a death march, plus my left foot has been hurting from the boots all day.
