From 3th November till 10th December Tanja Schmitt and Matthias Scherer started their ice climbing season in the Canadian Rockies. The film shows impressive pictures from the climbs of three extreme ice lines: "Whiteman Falls" (IV,WI6), "Shooting Star"(IV,WI6), "Rainbow Serpent" (IV,WI6).

Don,

When you have a time please go to se section called Cogne Ice on Matthias Scherer web page.

I am not sure but I won't be surprised if Werner was there before? He was everywhere climbing. I was in Cogne in summer, attempting to climb Grand Paradiso from that side.

I wish I am good ice climber like you or Werner. I will just pack stuff and go! :-)

Cheers,

Zoran

Cool to see Whiteman Falls. Francis, Adrian and I climbed it in Mar last year. It was in soft conditions last season at about WI5. It's a great climb. I would love to do Red Man Soars right beside it, but we ran out of daylight.

Wow, Rainbow Serpent looks amazing! Steep!

We certainly didn't have to climb over pools of water last year for Whiteman...
