Need to finish off my backcountry kit this year by getting boots. I realize fit is everything so I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations on which shops have the best boot fitters? Open to Vancouver area or Squamish/Whistler. Also, club night at MEC is definitely appealing as far as the discount goes but I don't know what to expect in terms of staff knowledge.

I recommend http://fanatykco.com in Whistler. Got them to help me with my boots last winter. They made adjustments to my liners that improved the fit of my boots. Not expensive or the boot fit. Definitely worth the time to see what they have to offer.

Intuition on W 1st avenue is great. they offer fittings until 7 or 8 usually as well. they train the mec staff.
