Meet at St.David Church at Taylor Way. Leaving the church at 5am sharp. Mt Weart via the SE ridge in a day is a long, strenous day, involving over 2,000m elevation gain. Spectacular area and summit. You must be in good shape, although you could choose to spend some time at the Wedgemount Lake hut while waiting for others to return. See Matt Gunn's scrambles book for more info.

Required Gear:

•  Helmet
• headlamp with spare batteries
• ice axe and crampons are NOT needed (received report from someone on it last Friday)
• Trekking poles are optional but strongly recommended
