Planned winter ascent of Casaval Ridge on Mount Shasta for a party of three.

Casaval Ridge is a high altitude class IV climb on snow/ice and rock. You must have solid, proven mountaineering skills.

Research the mountain, the route and the conditions and then email me if you have the skills, equipment and determination to attempt the climb.

Planned itinerary is as follows:

day 1- drive to Mt Shasta (estimated 15 hours 1100K).

day 2 - acclimatize at Horse Camp (7900 feet)

day 3 - mountain day 1

day 4 - mountain day 2 - descend (possible hotel stay, time permitting)

day 5 - Return to Vancouver (estimated 15 hours 1100K).

The trip will be canceled if conditions do not look favourable.

Costs:

1.) Insurance (health insurance that covers mountaineering in the USA is mandatory; available here).

2.) 1 night in hotel (if time permits, post ascent).

3.) permits ($20 three day permit).

4.) transportation.
