Trip Description

Status Update 27-JUL: No climbing this Wednesday - due to heavy traffic generated by HSBC Celebration of Light at English Bay

Wednesday Night Rock Climbing is a recreational, non-instructional drop-in event for climbers of all levels. It's a chance to get onto rock mid-week, meet other climbers and enjoy the crags at Squamish. As a recreational event, it is anticipated that participants are able to belay proficiently.

We meet Wednesdays promptly at 5pm in the parking lot of St David's United Church (1525 Taylor Way - junction of Taylor Way and #1 Hwy) and car-pool from there to Squamish.

Non-members are welcome (please provide signed Waiver Form
http://bcmc.ca/forms.asp).

Participants are responsible to provide all equipment. The BCMC does not provide ropes or equipment for this event. Suggested basic equipment includes:

  • headlamp
  • water & snacks
  • helmet (recommended)
  • harness
  • safety leash & locking carabiner
  • rope (bring it if you have it)
  • anchor gear (bring it if you have it)
  • belay device & locking carabiner
  • rock climbing shoes
  • bug deterrant

The trips will be weather dependent http://www.theweathernetwork.com. When the weather is questionable and you're wondering if it's a "go", check the trip schedule after 1pm on Wednesdays for a status update. For more information about Wednesday Night Rock Climbing in Squamish, please contact:
