Very early season Coquihalla skiing up to "Great Bear" peak, overlooking the great bear snowshed.  We will ascend from the Zopkios ridge parking lot, and up through the basin between Ottomite and Zupjok peaks.

If there is insufficient snow in the trees, then the trip destination will be changed to Zoa peak, where the lower slopes are skiiable earlier than on great bear.  I skiied up Zoa Ridge on Nov 12, and there was (barely) enough snow to make the ascent, but with the considerable snowfall since, I'm optimistic that Great Bear will be skiiable.

When registering, please let me know if you have a vehicle and what neighbourhood you are travelling from.

• Participants must be a competent skier or boarder (must be able to ski trees)
• Participants must have taken either the BCMC Intro to BC skiing course or the AST-1 Course
• Participants must have a Probe, Beacon and Shovel and know how to use them.
