Trip Description

Place: a local mountain.

Moving in mixed terrain: rappelling/climbing alpine rock. Fixed line or/and top rope.

Expect 800-1,000 m. eleveation gain and rappel on steep rock face of unknown terrain.

Climbing alpine style: complete backpack with gear, mountaineering boots/crampons.

NOT A COURSE

MUST HAVE PREVIOUS BELAY/RAPPEL/ANCHORS TRAINING . SOLID SKILLS REQUIRED.

Registration closes Thursday at 10 a.m.

Personal Gear: half 8mm 60m rope (or else), snow/ice alpine climbing set (incl. helmet, climbing harness, ice tools, snow pickets (1 short 1 long with runners attached), crampons (any type), rock pro/minimal rack (if you have), rappel material, ascenders (ti block, jumar), personal emergency kit, headlamp, etc.)
