The plan:
-Take the Blackcomb lifts up (backcountry ticket required -- I believe this is about 40$).
-Ski down to Wedge Pass (elevation ~1340m).
-Skin up the south face of Wedge (summit is 2892m).
-Ski the top of the south face (600 or 700 meters). Hopefully, in nice spring corn snow.
-Exit along the ridge above Rethel Creek (this could be a bit messy -- steep trees, alder choked roads etc).
Avi gear/training required.
Also, you should be a strong skiier, as the south face is fairly steep (~ 35 degrees .. 'black diamond') but not as bad as it looks.
I plan to go at an easy/moderate pace (I'm not fit enough to go any faster) so it will be a long day.
If the conditions aren't 'bomber' I will reschedule.
