Three day attempt on Northwest Face of Castle Towers Mountain in Garibaldi Park (see pages 186-187 of the McLane guidebook).

Tentative plan:

Day 1 - hike from Cheakamus Lake trailhead, through Helm Creek meadows, over the easy Helm Glacier, camp in Gentian Pass.

Day 2 - cross Castle Towers glacier, pass bergshrund, ascend steep ice/snow/rock to summit, descent by scrambles route onto Polemonium Ridge, return to camp in Gentian Pass.

Day 3 - hike out to vehicles (or, possible alternative summit attempt day and looong hike back to vehicles!).

Need experience with roped and belayed climbing, constructing anchors in rock, snow and ice, glacier travel and crevasse rescue techniques.
