The pace will be moderate, and we’ll travel as a team throughout the day. This trip is best suited for those comfortable moving together rather than skiing independently. We’ll meet at the trailhead at 8:00 AM and plan for a 6+ hour outing, returning to the cars around 3:00 PM. AST 1 certification is required, and 2–5 years of backcountry ski experience is preferred (sorry, this is not a beginner trip). Participants should be comfortable leading, developing a route plan, and taking part in a group safety meeting. Logistics and carpool details will be shared in the forum. I have not been to this area before so plan for some route finding discussions.
