This course is for skiers or snowboarders only who want to learn to avoid avalanches, travel safely in the backcountry, and build their mountain safety knowledge.

**Note: If there is not adequate snow at Mount Seymour, the course may be conducted at Whistler/Blackcomb or Red Heather, or postponed to a later date.

Course Objectives:

Notes:

• Cost does not include transportation to/from course areas, lift access fees (if applicable), or personal equipment, except as noted.
• You must supply your own backcountry ski or snowboard setup. If you do not have your own equipment, you can rent from a few local mountain shops.

• This course and special price are for BCMC members only.
• Courses may be combined with non-BCMC courses if enrolment is insufficient.
