Details will be discussed in WhatsApp chat prior to the trip. Unless otherwise specified, assume that days out touring means we will meet up early and get back to the city after dinner. This first trip will likely be a shorter day, but don't count on it in case its awesome out there and we're all having a blast (or traffic sucks etc.)

Always leave a trip plan (where you are going, who you are with, what vehicle you are in (we can discuss carpooling!), when they should expect to hear from you) with someone you trust.

Required (on every trip!):

• avalanche safety gear (transceiver-CHECK YOUR BATTERIES BEFORE YOU LEAVE, shovel, probe)
• Navigation (typically an app on your phone, and it's good to have a spare battery pack and charging cables for your phone too in case your battery dies)
• Insulation and extra layers
• Sun protection (baseball hat, sun glasses, sunscreen etc.)
• Headlamp
• First aid kit
• Multi tool
• Fire starting tool (lighter)
• Emergency bivy
• Skins
• Skis and Poles
• Goggles
• Positive attitude and stoke!

Optional:

• Hot tea or beverage
• Foam butt pad
• After bag of dry clothes, snacks, water etc.
