We will be using brush cutters and chainsaws to cut back on the alders that threaten to overwhelm the winter trail.  If you can run a chainsaw, great.  If you can't, but want to use the brush cutters, they are safe, if not a bit loud.  If you want to stay away from the power tools, there will be lots of slash to toss off the trail.  Your efforts will help make early-season access to the Hut not only possible, but pleasant.  We will carry the tools for about an hour, and then put in four or five hours of work before heading back to the cars.
