Nothing particularly high or technical, minus the initial creek crossing. relatively low summit with some seemingly nice gradual gains coming out of the Salal creek valley, bushy creek crossing with some initial steep areas leading to sub-alpine meadows and rocky alpine. looks to be a decent area for some good sunsets and hopefully some good views of the bridge glacier outflow.
Access via Salal Creek FSR. Same as Athelney pass. AWD or 4x4 is required to make it up the spur. Mellow 10.5km to the summit, approx 5.6km to camp from the end of the trail after the creek crossing. creek levels look low with the lack of rain, water shoes are required.
Weather dependent, if people are up for it tag Athelstan on the way out. Contour track gpx. is available. Car camp friday night at the TH if desired.
