Consider hiking up to the Norm Deacon Cabin.

Dave Scanlon will be there and has promised a tour of BCMC's latest acquisition.

Plus there's a brand new outhouse !

 

We'll meet on Cypress Bowl Road, across from the District of West Van works yard.  Zero your odometer.

 

It's 9.3 km to West Lake Road. Turn right.  Dave reports that two (2) wheel drive is fine.  At 10.1 km turn left and drive up to Hi View Lookout.  Park at 10.4 km follow the main trail on the right to 11.5 km.  Turn left and follow the road to 11.8 km and you'll see the cabin.  It's all in Gaia.  The .gpx file is attached.

 

I can do a 9:30 pick up at the Commercial Skytrain station if you don't have a ride.

 

Bring lunch, water, and your hiking essentials.  Could be rainy.
