It is a long drive from Vancouver - about 3 to 4 hours.   The trip will be reasonably strenuous so you will need to have experience in backcountry skiing.  We will be stopping in Pemberton for dinner after the trip and will not return to Vancouver until after 9pm. 

The access will be from the north side of Birkenhead via the Blackwater Lake Forest Service Road which starts just west of Blackwater Lake.    Camp will be somewhere around grid reference 277 985 on map 92 J/10

 I notice that Greg Stoltmann has an interesting trip scheduled to Channel Creek the same weekend.  If the weather is forecast to be good I will go to Birkenhead.  If the weather is forecast to be not so good, I might be tempted to try and join Greg's trip and postpone this one to the following weekend.
