We will go to Sully's Hangout in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park in North Vancouver. Sully's Hangout has an excellent collection of sport climbs ranging from 5.6 to 5.12. This is an early morning climbing session to avoid the crowd and the traffic crossing back the bridges.

This event is beginner-friendly, but you should know how to top-rope belay to join and have your own climbing shoes, harness, and helmet. The total number of people who can attend will depend on the number of ropes we get (max 3 people per rope).

What to bring

1. Climbing shoes.
2. Harness.
3. Helmet.
4. Belay device.
5. Food and snacks.
6. At least 2 litres of water.
7. headlamp for the hike back.
8. Rope (optional).
9. Quickdraws and anchor material (optional).

Getting There

You can reach Lynn Headwaters Park either by transit or driving. The bus 210 goes directly to the park from downtown.

We will meet at 7:00 am at the Entrance Parking Lot in front of the pit toilets, and then hike up together to the crag. It's OK if you meet us later at the crag too. If you'd like a ride to Lynn Park, use the planning forum.
