It's Pride month and what better way to kick it off than with the Rainbow Ramblers' fierce and fabulous hike up Flora Peak!
The Flora Peak trail is a steep out-and-back trail in S⨱ótsaqel / Chilliwack Lake Park. It features stunning views of Chilliwack Lake and the Northern Cascades. Due to the steady gradient and elevation gain, participants should be physically fit and prepared for snow in the upper elevations.
Distance: 12.5 km
Elevation Gain: 1300 m
Est. Time: 6-8 hours (depending on the speed of the group)
Plan to meet at the Braid Skytrain Station at 6am
Must Bring:
• 10 Essentials (extra emphasis on warm clothes such as toques, gloves, pants, etc)
• Microspikes
• Positive attitude
Non-members are welcome to this event! However, if you plan to bring someone, please let us know before the trip is at max capacity so they can be added to the participant list. In addition, all non-members must sign this waiver on the day of the event in order to participate.
