Easy climbing day in Hope at the Area 71 crag. 5.5 to 5.10. top rope, trad and sport.

This event is beginner-friendly, but you should know how to top-rope belay to join and have your own climbing shoes, harness, and helmet. The total number of people who can attend will depend on the number of ropes we get (max 3 people per rope). If you want to trad you must have existing trad experience and your own gear.

Meeting point will be a park and ride convenient to those who need to carpool, or in hope at the crag. Trailhead/parking for the crag is at 49°23'31.9"N 121°27'38.9"W. It’s on hwy 1 at the hwy 7 junction.

            4          Belay device.

            5          Food and snacks.

            6          At least 2 litre of water.

            7          Rope (optional).

            8          Quickdraws and anchor material. Trad gear. (optional).
