My partner, myself and a friend are planning to bag a few peaks from the Washington Scrambles book over an extended August long weekend. Mount Washington (1906m) P799, Lightning Peak (1419m) P177 & The Brothers (2093m) P847. First 2 peaks will be car camping / day hikes, then we will backpack 2 nights to get The Brothers. All peaks are outside of ONP so we can bring our fur family member.

Day 1 (jul 30): Departure 4pm to arrive at Staircase Campground (booking to be confirmed) @10pm. 

Day 2 (jul 31): Drive to Mt Washington TH. 3/4hr. Hike Stats: 6.5km/972m. ~5hrs. 

Day 3 (aug 1): Lightning Peak is walking distance from campground. Stats: 14km/1260m. ~7hrs. 

Day 4 (aug 2): Pack camp, drive to Lena / Brothers TH. 1hr. Backpack to Brothers Base Camp 9.2km/990m. 3hrs.

Day 5 (aug 3): Summit The Brothers 8km/1130m ~3hr, return to Brother Base Camp ~3hr. *Option to move camp to Lena Lake. 

Day 6 (aug 4): Hike out, drive home. 8 hrs. 

COST per person: Approx $150 with a group of 4. $120 with a group of 5. Covers mileage, 3 nights campground & forestry pass.
