Mamquam has been on my mind for a while and I'd love to complete a ski ascent this spring.  Apparently, many parties "routinely" fail to reach the summit.  To give us more chance of reaching the summit, I'd like to do an overnight trip.  Approach via Skookum Creek and aim to camp at Darling Lake.  

I expect the climb through the forest to be difficult and it involves crossing Paranoid Creek over a sketchy log.  Hopefully, given the time of year, there will be enough snow to keep the alder at bay.

This will not be an easy trip and there's a chance we won't make the summit - please bear in mind.  There are several trip reports online - please research the route and be prepared to lead.

The trip is weather-dependent.  We may reschedule if the weather is looking grim.
