Will watch for the avi forecast and decide how far we go into the alpine. Plenty of safe terrain lower below, if conditions call for a safer approach.
The plan is to use the lower route starting from the Callaghan Rd into the alpine area then will decide on the final destination: some amazing alpine terrain is up there!
There is about 4km long slog on a logging road, then we hit the nicely spaced forest with quite interesting micro-terrain features. In about 2h from the car we will be right at the start of the alpine from where another 2h can bring us to the top of some amazing runs!
Lots of micro terrain in the forest and very likely lots of heavy trailbreaking in heavy snow, so be prepared for it, as everyone must break trail...lol
Please be considerate and do NOT sign up unless you are 100% committed for the trip and you are at least an intermediate skier(can do black runs in any conditions, including trees) in the Backcountry. Most likely based on the long-term forecast, some heavy trailbraking will be required by everyone in the group- no exceptions. If in doubt about your capabilities send me a message and we can talk about it:)
Will be moving at a moderate-fast pace. Not for slow people, sorry.
