Crevasse rescue and rope ascension PRACTICE SESSION.
This is NOT A COURSE. This is not a substitute for a course. This session is open to those who have taken the courses already and are looking to practice their skills, share skills and information. Everyone will be expected to pitch in and share knowledge and information.
To be reviewed:
* Various ways to tie into the rope / group size
* Steps to take when a climber falls into a crevasse
* Haul systems: 1) Hauling the loaded rope. 2) Dropping a loop / rescue rope
* Ascending the rope (self-rescue technique)
* Time permitting: Rappel set up

Trip will be held outdoors in a *Downtown Vancouver location* likely George Wainborne Park or similar. Event will start at 4.30pm and run until darkness (about 8.30pm) please bring water and food and know that the bathrooms are about a 7 min walk away.
Date scheduled is May 14th - but if its raining we will reschedule to the following Wednesday May 21st.
