A long weekend of spring ski mountaineering, based at the Burton Hut in Sphinx Bay on the east side of Garibaldi Lake. We'll ski in on the morning of Friday, April 18th and stay until Monday the 21st, with the option to stay longer if weather complies (to be discussed in the planning forum). The hut belongs to the VOC, we are registered for 10 but the hut cannot be reserved, so we will bring tents and use the hut if it is available. Peaks accessible from this area include Guard Mountain, The Sphinx, Castle Towers, and others. We'll split the group by chosen objectives and ski whatever we can over the course of the weekend.

Participants should have 3 seasons or more of ski touring experience, crevasse rescue training, and AST-1 or higher. The group is already registered for a wilderness camping permit, the cost of which will be $30 per person for the weekend. $30 additional per person will be paid to the VOC if we use the hut.

Payment for the camping permit via e-transfer is required to move from the waiting list to the confirmed list, and is refundable only if your spot can be filled.
