Join us for our first social event of 2025.
You won't want to miss this spectacular presentation by Francis Bailey & Andrea Tate alongside our very own past president Glenn Woodsworth
The Pantheon range has long history of BCMC exploration, with the first climbs being done by Glenn Woodsworth and Dick Culbert, who gave the range its name. During their 1964 trip they were foiled by bad weather. In his trip report, Glenn wrote:
“For future parties, the Pantheon range merits further attention. It seems as if the Waddington Range will continue to supply worthwhile exploration and first ascents for many years to come.”
Many years later in 2024, Francis Bailey & Andrea Tate embarked on a trip to further the exploration of this range, driven by a desire to climb in a completely untouched corner of the Coast Mountains. They completed three first ascents of mountains Sedna Peak, Culbert Crag, and Trident Tower, as well as ascending Diana Peak by a new easier scramble route.
In this photo presentation joined by Glenn Woodsworth, they will dive into their journey to these peaks, compare notes, photos and stories with Glenn who will talk more about the history of this special place.
Doors open at 7:00pm. Event starts at 7:30pm
