Get together to review search procedures as well as to facilitate discussion on avalanche rescue. I will have targets buried which we can dig up. I am aware of Seymour's "Beacon Basin" at the north end of their parking lots. We likely will not use this facility since we cannot dig up these targets.

Meetup and logistics
We are meeting at the BC Parks kiosk at the far end of the parking lot. (N49.367456, W122.949216). Please click the link and look at the satellite image. People are often confused about exactly where to meet. We will be skinning or snowshoeing up to a random spot off the side of the trail where we will be spending a couple of hours. 

• Meet at the trailhead at 8 AM
• Depart from the trailhead at 8:15 AM.
• Variable wrap-up time: 11 or 11:30, but no later than noon.

After the actual ARS practice, we will dismiss and disperse down the ski run or trail and the trip will end, however, I am open to staying as late as people would like to search for targets or talk about snow science, or maybe even go for a lap off of first peak or second peak. 

You may opt to travel on whatever gear you feel is most appropriate for the conditions: skis, snowshoes, or boots wth microspikes.

Parking

Mount Seymour Park requires a day-use pass for parking. You must arrange your pass for parking at this link [https://reserve.bcparks.ca/dayuse/registration]. If you are unable to secure a pass for the day of, please either do not register for the event; or if you hold a confirmed registration but do not hold a pass, please remove yourself.
