Join us in one of the most remote huts on the coast accessible by 4X4 vehicles. Emma hut is a winter hut located about 50km inland from Powell River on Emma lake surrounded by a bowl with some easier skiing. It has breathtaking views of the Powell River Divide and the end of Jarvis Inlet.
It’s a trip to get there from Vancouver, the plan is to stay over in Gibsons Friday night, take the ferries and hike up Saturday, spend Sunday there and return Monday back to Vancouver.
The hike from the trailhead is 6km and 1200m elevation gain and the terrain is mostly forest until you get to the alpine.
