Avalanche Canada hosts webinars every Fall to get outdoor enthusiasts prepared for the upcoming Winter season. This year’s webinars are now posted and open for (free) registration.

On Dec 4 they are offering  "A Winter Hiker's Guide to Avalanche Safety":

"Are you a hiker, runner, or snowshoer who loves to head out in the winter? Join us this evening as we bring experts from Parks Canada, Kananaskis Country, BC Parks, and Avalanche Canada to discuss a couple of "hot spots" in each region and provide tips on staying safe this winter."

You must register on Avalanche Canada’s website to attend. Signing up on BCMC will not give you access!! (but you should sign up here anyway to let other BCMC members know you are attending).
