The plan is to hike up to the first summit of the Stawamus Chief (Siyám Smánit) on the evening of the full moon nearest the winter solstice, to see the sun set and the moon rise. We will start hiking from the parking area in front of the Chief at 3:00 PM sharp. The trip is totally weather dependent - if it's cloudy and raining, we'll try again on January 13th.
There may be a social gathering afterwards, to eat and drink.
Those coming from Vancouver area can meet at Saint David's at 2:00 and car pool.
