Up and Around

Trek up to summit Round Mtn and Paul Ridge

Pace will be adjusted for the group. Beginner-friendly.

If you are experienced, then be prepared to help out others in the group.

Focus is on trailhead procedures, winter travel, getting your gear and boots figured out, and testing transceivers.

Gear required: Your own 10 essentials.

Snowshoes, splitboard or ski equipment. Probably enough snow to skin, but perhaps too rocky to ski down the road, so be prepared to hike your skis if you love them.

Digital transceiver, Metal Shovel, Probe.

Review the 10 essentials and bring with you what is appropriate for this activity.

Organizer will bring GPS watch with tracks; GMRS Radios; inReach/Personal Locator Beacon; Basic first aid kit.

Winter tires and carry chains required to access Diamond Head upper parking.

6:25am: Attendance and final carpooling plans at West Van meeting location.
