For decades, Brian Wood, an Honourary member of the BCMC and past president of the FMCBC, led annual igloo building instructional weekends. The weekends were a highlight on the winter schedule and participants loved attending, due to Brian's unique and hilarious instruction methods. Sadly, we lost Brian this past year. However, There are hundreds of club members that were taught igloo building and snow shelter construction by Brian. If you've never slept in an igloo or trench igloo, snow cave, or Quinzhee then this instructional weekend is for you. We'll build a bunch of snow shelters, then sleep in them. Winter survival skills matter; learn to build winter snow shelters. Preference given to folks with a great Brian Wood story. Or a quirky sense of humour, just like him. Ast-1 not required.
If you were lucky enough to participate when Brian taught the course, please do help - we'll need instructors as much as victims. lol
