The 2.5 day AST-1+ Avalanche Skills course developed by Canada West Mountain School has been updated to include a Virtual Classroom online learning sessions in advance of 2 full days in the field! The best combination of  theory and practical field training possible sets the standard for AST programs. CWMS pioneered the original PLUS programs over 35 years ago and continue to improve it every season, using two different mountain regions for the most effective use of your time – 1 day on Seymour plus 1 day behind Whistler/Blackcomb – with the most hands-on time of any AST-1.

Note: Cost to access Whistler backcounty is not included in these fees.
