We will drive to the deep depths of the Mamquam FSR from Squamish where there is excellent access to over 1000 m and then hike a loop around the Gillespie Seed basin. Gillespie requires some scrambling low on the ridge, also expect some moderate to steep snow travel where an ice axe is recommended. We will need a second vehicle and driver, the road is pretty good but an AWD and driver comfortable with logging roads will be necessary. I will accept participants once the vehicle is confirmed . Trip is roughly 16 km return and 1300 m elevation.
