It's time for our annual "Summer Get-together"!
We're heading close to Second Narrows Bridge this year and hosting at New Brighton Park.
An unusual combination of outdoor recreation space, industrial facilities, and memorable views, New Brighton is a popular and exciting park. Captivating views of the North Shore, Burrard Inlet, and the grain elevators of Cascadia Terminals are available from the walking trails, outdoor public pool, playground, dog park and beach areas.
Swing by to check out our new Camps tent and chat with our Camps Director, Ian Harris, about our future trips.
We'll also have a repeat edition of the Blessing of the Ice Axes performed by(Rabbi) Philip Gibbs, BCMC Board Director, a duly ordained member of the clergy.
As for food, we'll have a BBQ with regular and veggie burger options but should you wish to cook your own grub, feel free to bring your own grill. There is also small concession near the public pool for purchase of food and drink.
Alcohol is permitted in this park so feel free to BYOB.
Logistics: some plan to bike here but if you're driving, there is street parking and a lot close to the port. If that's full there is alternate lot off Bridgeway.
Excited to see new faces and congregate outside with some mountain views!
