This area of northern Van island is notorious for rain, mud and cold temps, so if the weather looks good then the trip could work! The San Josef bay stretch towards Cape Scott lighthouse has some incredible beach camping opportunities. If I can get a party together I'd be hoping to leave Saturday afternoon and start making our way towards the top of the island. Ideally starting the trail sometime early Sunday. I would have to be back to the Sea to sky by Wednesday night latest as I work early Thursday. Also interested in doing a portion of the Sunshine coast trail if that works better. My car is having some on and off transmission slipping atm so ideally we could take someone else's vehicle but I can make it work either way.
