Here's a good writeup of the Wind River High Route in Wyoming: https://andrewskurka.com/adventures/wind-river-high-route/. This will be a fast paced trip.
Some peaks we'll be attempting:
NameElevation Lizard Head Peak 3799m Camel's Hump 3808m War Bonnet Peak 3716m Warrior Peaks 3781m Mitchell Peak 3805m Dog Tooth Peak 3806m Big Sandy Mountain 3784m Wind River Peak 3999m
Cirque of the Towers is a stunning semi-circle of fifteen 4,000m craggy peaks that form a portion of the Continental Divide. The alpine route we'll take, starts and finish's at Bruce's Bridge. This should allow for weather and options for side trips. Aside from first and last day, the route stays above 3000m and high point is 3,999m as we pass over Wind River Peak, the highest peak in the southern range.
I would like to also include a stop at Sawtooth Range in Idaho as it is on route home if there are a couple of days to spare. Thompson peak (3256m) & Alice/Toxaway lake loop trail are the 2 hikes I have researched to be among the best options here.
There's ~3600kms of driving. Due to the length of the trip rides will be organized in advance and we'll convoy down together. Likely first regroup in Cloverdale.
This trip is to the USA so don't forget passports and medical insurance.
There will likely be some small snowfields to cross so micro-spikes and poles are recommended.
