All hands on deck! The Sigurd Trail (Este-tiwilh/Sigurd Creek Conservancy, Squamish) is one of the most popular trails maintained by the club, in agreement with BC Parks. Due to its high usage--lots of hikers use the trail to go to Crooked Falls--we need to maintain the trail to a high standard to ensure its safety and longevity.
For this trip, we will rebuild the trail section where it leaves the old road (near the start) and goes steeply up the embankment. This involves moving lots of rocks and dirt, and carrying tools and supplies*. That's the workout. The good news is the worksite is just 25 minutes from the trailhead parking.
Lots of helping hands will make the work safer and easier. And you'll probably meet lots of appreciative hikers, too!
