** This is a mentorship trip but I will open the trip to public BCMC members. You will need be a competent outdoor lead belayer and know how to clean/setup anchors. You should also be confident in 5.10 sport climbs or higher. **
Trip details
The goal of this trip is to build upon skills covered at trip #1. The crag only has one 5.7 and one 5.8 route. The rest of the routes are in the 5.10 to 5.12 range. Mentees are encouraged to push out of their comfort zone and lead climbing at or near their limit.
Gear: Harness, rock shoes, chalk bag, and belay device (preferably an assisted breaking belay device), personal anchor system, anchor material, rope, ~12 quick draws, prussik material. We will discuss shared gear in the chat (rope, anchor material, and draws).
Food/Drinks : Bring enough food and water for 7 hours at the crag (~3L of water, snacks, lunch... maybe a second lunch).
Time: We will meet at East Guildford Park and Ride (https://en.parkopedia.ca/parking/lot/east_guildford/v4n/surrey/?arriving=202405171030&leaving=202405171230) at 6:30am. Expect to return at the Approx by 6 pm. We will carpool at this location. We will only wait 10min before departing.
