The goat ridge trail located in Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park is a steep hike almost all the way to the top and requires ropes at times. Ropes are already in place and does not require any climbing gear. The hike is 10.9 km out and back with elevation gain of 1225 m. This trip requires good fitness and can get quite challenging at times. Therefore, it's not recommended for beginners. Poles are optional and could really help but good hiking boot are mandatory. The trip can be competed within 6-8 hours depending on the pace. Bring at least 3L of water and food.
