Are you ready to take your climbing to new heights? Come join me for a beginner-friendly multi-pitch adventure at Chek Canyon. I recently completed my first multi-pitch climb, 'Frontside 180', and it was an exhilarating experience! Multi-pitch climbing offers a unique and thrilling way to enjoy climbing.
Prerequisite: You don't need to be an expert, but you should have a theoretical understanding of multi-pitch climbing techniques. You should know:
The Climbs
We will multi-pitch Ursa Minor and Kaiju Bear located at North Star Wall in Check Canyon.
Ursa Minor: total height is 115m.
Kaiju Bear: total height 100m.
If we finish multi-pitching Ursa Minor and Kaiju Bear early, we might go to Electric Av for some more sport climbing. Ideally, we will get an even number of people so we can pair up for the multi-pitches. We will have lunch at the top of Ursa Minor.
What to bring
Carpooling
We will meet at St David's United Church to organize carpooling at 8:15am. The recommended payment for carpooling is $15 for the round trip. If you'd like to meet us at Chek Canyon, please let the organizer know.
