Situated north from Squamish, west from Whistler and Pemberton, and covering some 300 square kilometres, the Pemberton Icefield is the closest large icefield to Vancouver. However, access is not easy.

Chris Barton worked with BCMC volunteers on developing a circular route around Little Ring Peak and to the icefield, taking in the dramatic scenery and natural phenomena along the way.
